The Mutende Project is a Children’s Village and School based in Lulamba, Chingola in the Copperbelt Region of Zambia.
Mission
Chingola is a mining town in the Copperbelt region of Zambia and has suffered greatly from AIDS/HIV. The Mutende Project aims to offer children in the greatest need a home, care, education and training.
Company Overview
The Mutende Project is based in Chingola, Northern Zambia and is managed in partnership with a team from Bristol and Swansea. Mutende is a charity registered in Zambia and works in collaboration with Resound Trust and Linden Church Trust in the UK
Description
The Mutende Project is supported by sponsors and donations from the UK. Resound Church in Bristol and Linden Church Swansea collaborate in arranging visits to support the Harold Mwenge Memorial Academy and Mutende Children’s Village.
Mutende CV is home to about 30 children and the HMM Academy has 180 pupils from the local community.
