This little chap has just received a new set of the ‘Rescue’ series, decodable books for older, struggling readers. He has already read the ‘Talisman’ series and now he will be able to read this new series independently because he will have already been taught the graphemes in each book.
Decodable books offer a seamless transition from phonics teaching to independent reading.
